Laksh02 OpenCart Theme

Introduction

This documentation will give you an understanding of how Theme Laksh02 is structured and guide you in performing the most common functions

Note: Please read the complete documentation, before attempting to install the theme.
it is recommend to always backup your system before making any upgrades or changes!

Method 1: OpenCart Installtion

For installation of OpenCart, you just need to follow these steps, Installation

To install OpenCart template you need to upload it’s files to your hosting server.
Extract the downloaded zip file and Upload all files and folders from the “OpenCart Files” to your OpenCart root directory.

"admin" (Overwrite this folder)
"catalog" (Overwrite this folder)
"image" (Overwrite this folder)

Import Sample Data

You can find this file easily from our theme package.
Sample_Data_02.sql -- For all theme content
From Admin, System → Maintenance → Backup/restore .
Select Restort tab click the button Import and select the file import.sql.

Module Access Permission

If you get the error "Access Permission denied",
You need to provide few permissions to an Administrator, which you can do by following this step:
From “System → Users → User Groups → Administrator → Select all access permission and modify permission”
Click the button “Save” from top right corner.

Method 2 :Config Theme

Theme activation

Now the next step is to set the Theme Mahardhi Store Theme.
From Admin > Extensions > Extensions,
Select Themes from Dropdown as shown below:

Now you need to install the theme Mahardhi Store Theme
As shown in the screenshot below, Click the button Install.

Now Select Your Store > Edit.
Theme Directory : (select) mahardhi
Status : Enable
Default Items Per Page : 9
List Description Limit : 200
Now Set Image Size
Category Image : 1005 X 230
Product Image Thumb : 660 X 880
Product Image Popup : 750 X 1000
Product Image List : 315 X 420
Additional Product Image : 750 X 1000
Related Product Image : 315 X 420
Compare Image Size : 75 X 100
Wishlist Image Size : 75 X 100
Cart Image Size : 75 X 100
Colors:
Primary Color : #222222 (Set Theme Primary Color)
Primary Hover Color : #D60907 (Set Theme Primary Hover Color)
Secondary Color : #FFFFFF (Set Theme Secondary Color)
Secondary Light Color : #777777 (Set Theme Secondary Light Color)
Background Color : #F5F5F5 (Set Theme Background Color)
Border Color : #E5E5E5 (Set Theme Border Color)
Click the button Save.

Goto Admin System > Setting > “ your store ” Edit

Select General tab

Select “ Mahardhi Store Theme ” from Dropdown as shown below,

Click the button Save.

Method 3 : Logo

From Admin, System > Setting > “ your store ” Edit > Image (image tab).
Set logo for your site.
Select Store > Edit

Select Image tab

Click the button Save.

Method 4: Language

Language activation

To add a new langauge to the theme, You need to visit OpenCart site and download it from the Marketplace.
Next step is, to Upload/Add the downloded language folder to the theme.
Path: "PROJECT_ROOT/admin/language" and "PROJECT_ROOT/catalog/language".

Now you need to activate that language from admin. Here we are providing an Exaple to add an Arabic Language

From Admin, System > Localisation > Languages
Add New button to add new Language
Language Name : Arbic
Code : ar
Locale : ar
Status : Enable
Sort Order : 1 or 2 as you like
Click the button Save.

Method 5 : Banners

Main Banner

From Admin, Design > Banners
Click the button ”+ Add New ”.
Banner name : Home Page Slideshow
Status : Enabled
Click the button + Add , Which will allow you to insert the banner information. Such as Title, Link, Image, Sort Order etc.
Fill up the Title. By Clicking on Image, you will able to upload the banner.
You can add multiple banners.
At the end, Don't forget to click the button ”Save”.

Main Banner activation

From Admin, Extensions > Extensions > Modules
Now select Slideshow, then click the button Edit, and you will see the screen as deplayed below.
Module Name : Slideshow - Home Page
Banner : Home Page Slideshow
Width and Height : 1920 X 750
Status : Enabled
And click the button ”Save”.

Left Banner

From Admin, Design >Banners
Click the button “ + Add New ”
Banner Name : Left Banner
Status : Enabled
and click the button Add Banner
Please add title of the banner, and click on image to upload your banner
and click the button ”Save”.

Left Banner Activation

Activate your Left Banner from Admin, Extensions > Extensions. Select Modules
Now Select Banner > + Add New Banner
Module name : Left Banner
Banner : Left Banner
Provide Width & Height : 315 X 450
Status : Enabled
And click the button ”Save”.

Method 6 : HTML Content

From Admin, Extensions > Extensions. Select Modules.
Select HTML Content > Edit (If Edit button is inactive then you need to Install it).

Banner - Home page

Click on Add Module to add cms block.
Name : Banner - Home page.
Click the button Code View in text editor block, Copy and Paste the code displayed below(In the Code Snippet), Again click on Code View button to save your HTML content.
Status : Enabled.
And click the button ”Save”.

Click on Add Module to add cms block.

Status : Enabled.
And click the button ”Save”.

From Admin, Extensions > Extensions. Select Modules.
Select Specials > Edit (If Edit button is inactive then you need to Install it).
Click the button + Add New .
Name : Special - Home Page
Limit : 20
Image size : 315 X 420
Status : Enabled
And click the button ”Save”.

Method 8 : Bestseller Products

From Admin, Extensions > Extensions. Select Modules.
And then select Bestsellers > Edit ( If Edit link is not active then Click on Install link)
Click the button + Add New .
Name : Bestseller sidebar
Limit : 3
Image size : 75 X 100
From Status select : Enabled
Click on ”Save” button.

Method 9 : Mahardhi Product Tabs

From Admin, Extensions > Extensions. Select Modules.
Select Mahardhi Product Tabs > Edit
For Homepage Module,
Module Name : Top Products
Select Checkbox : Featured Latest Bestseller
Limit : 20
Image size : 315 X 420
Status : Enable
And click the button ”Save”.

Language Keys:

To Translate this section in any other language, you need to add this module file mahardhi_product_tab.php in appropriate language directory.

1. Add the file mahardhi_product_tab.php from the path admin/language/en-gb/extension/module to admin/language/your_language/extension/module.

2. Add the file mahardhi_product_tab.php from the path catalog/language/en-gb/extension/module to catalog/language/your_language/extension/module.

Admin: Navigation/Design/Language Editor/Add New

Route: extenstion/module/mahardhi_product_tab

Method 10 : Mahardhi Blog

Blog Categories

From Admin, Extensions > Extensions. Select Modules.
Select Mahardhi Blog > Edit (If Edit button is inactive then you need to Install it).
And click Article Blog Categories

From Admin, Extensions > Extensions. Select Modules.
Select Mahardhi Blog > Edit
Click on Categories
Click the button + Add new
Article List Name : Blogs
Status : Enabled
Sort order : 1
And click the button ”Save”.

Article Lists

From Admin, Extensions > Extensions, Select Modules.
Select Mahardhi Blog > Edit
And Click on Article Lists.

Click the button + Add new.

Article Name : The standard Lorem Ipsum
Introduction Text : Click on Code View button (as you see in the Articles Screenshot), Write Introduction Text, Again click that button Code View
Description : Click on Code View button (as you see in the Articles Screenshot), Write Description, Again click that button Code View
Meta Tag Title : The standard Lorem Ipsum
Article Image : you can upload your Blog image
Show categories : click check box
Status : Enabled
Sort order : 1
And click the button ”Save”.

and Click on Setting

And click the button ”Save”.

Click on List Button, to see the list of all Testimonials.
To add new Tistimonial Click the button +Add.

Customer Name : John Deo
Description : Click on Code View button (as you see in the Articles Screenshot), Write Description, Again click that button Code View
Status : Enabled
Image File : Testimonial Image
Sort Order : 1
And click the button ”Save”.

Status: Enable
And click the button ”Save”.

Method 16: Filter

From Admin, Extensions > Extensions. Select Modules.
Select Filter > Edit (If Edit button is inactive then you need to Install it).
Status: Enable
And click the button ”Save”.

Method 17: Carousel

Main Banner

From Admin, Design > Banners
Click on ”+ Add New ” button.
Banner name : Manufacturers
Status : Enabled
Then Click on + Add , Which will allow you to insert the banner information. Such as Title, Link, Image, Sort Order etc.
Fill up the Title. By Clicking on Image, you will able to upload the banner.
You can add multiple banners.
At the end, Don't forget to click the button ”Save”.

From Admin, Extensions > Extensions > Modules.
Select Carousel > Edit.
Module Name : Carousel - Home Page
Banner : Manufacturers
Width and Height : 76 X 40
Status : Enabled
And click the button ”Save”.

Method 18: Contact us

From Admin, System > Settings > Stores > “Your Store”.
Click on Edit > Store (From tab).

Store Name : Your Store
Store Owner : My Store
Address : 71 Pennington Lane Vernon Rockville, CT 06066
Geocode : 71 Pennington Lane Vernon Rockville, CT 06066 (it's Optional)

Method 19 : Layout Settings

From Admin, Design > Layouts,

From Layout List, Please find the page name Home, and click on Edit.

Account

From Layout List, Please find the page name Account, and click on Edit.

Affiliate

From Layout List, Please find the page name Affiliate, and click on Edit.

Checkout

From Layout List, Please find the page name Checkout, and click on Edit.

Compare

From Layout List, Please find the page name Compare, and click on Edit.

Contact

From Layout List, Please find the page name Contact, and click on Edit.

Default

From Layout List, Please find the page name Default, and click on Edit.

Information

From Layout List, Please find the page name Information, and click on Edit.

Manufacture

From Layout List, Please find the page name Manufacture, and click on Edit.

Product

From Layout List, Please find the page name Product, and click on Edit.

Search

From Layout List, Please find the page name Search, and click on Edit.

Sitemap

From Layout List, Please find the page name Sitemap, and click on Edit.

Method 20 : Additional Setting

1. Loader Image Path: /catalog/view/theme/mahardhi/image/mahardhi/ajax_loader.gif

2. Newsletter Popup Image Path: /catalog/view/theme/mahardhi/image/mahardhi/newsletter-popup.jpg

3. Header - "More" Menu
To edit "More" menu, need to modify below code. Also If you want to remove the "More" menu, need to remove below code:

Notes:

1. To change Loader Image or Newslatter Image, we provided path of those images in section Additional Settings. Just need to replace perticular image and you will able to change those images.

2. Some language entries contain special HTML or wildcard characters like http://, %s, <b></b> and others. Don't need to change these special words and translate only the text within these entries.
